Pastor Loescher graduated from Shoreland Lutheran High School in 2003, Martin Luther College in 2007, and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2011. His early ministry was in the west, gaining valuable experience as a vicar in Sierra Vista, AZ, and pastor of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Sacramento, CA. Pastor Loescher is married to Jessica. Also part of their family are Ryan, Natalie, Caleb, Elliott, and Millie.
Fun fact: Pastor enjoys cheering on the Minnesota sports teams.
Michael is married to Rachel, Bethany's office manager. Together they have two sons, Jason and Jonah. They can often be seen playing and helping around the school. You have probably also noticed all four of them biking around Hustisford. They are fans of the Wisconsin sports teams and like watching Packer games and going to Brewers games together. Rachel and Michael are also fans of watching Jason and Jonah discover sports such as baseball, basketball, and football
Michael likes anything that takes him outside and into nature. Camping is his favorite thing to do over the summer, along with hiking and fishing. He also enjoys woodworking projects and fixing things.
This will be Michael's 23rd year teaching and his 9th year as a principal. The first part of his days during the school year is spent working on administrative duties, and the second part of the day is spent teaching Christ Light, Math, and Science.
Grace Hennig was born and raised in New Ulm, MN. She holds a B.A. in Education from Dr. Martin Luther College, a B.A. in Music from UW-Oshkosh, and a Master’s in Church Music from Concordia University Chicago.
Throughout her ministry, Grace has served as a grade school teacher, music instructor, organist, and professor at Martin Luther College. Most recently, she served at Peace Lutheran School in Hartford, WI, and with WELS Christian Aid and Relief before accepting the call to Bethany Lutheran School.
Grace and her husband, Brian, have three adult children (Molly, Christian, and Natalie) and a beloved dog, June. In her free time, Grace enjoys writing music, traveling, cooking, gardening, and volunteering at the Center for Church Music.
Grace grew up in Michigan and recently graduated from Martin Luther College with a degree in Elementary Education and a Social Studies minor. She and her husband, Lukas (who is beginning his studies at the Seminary this fall), were married in 2023 and share a fun-loving rescue dog named Willow.
Outside the classroom, Grace enjoys sewing, reading, cheering on Michigan sports teams, and spending time outdoors. She is excited to join the Bethany community and share God’s Word, holding close her favorite verse, Proverbs 19:21: "Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails."
Erika is married to Jeff and has three children: Lorelei, JT, and Dallas. When she is not at school, you can find her coaching volleyball, reading a book, or at one of her kids' sporting events.
She earned her Elementary Education Degree from Indiana University. Following graduation, she got a job as a Collegiate Head Volleyball Coach. She was on the coaching path for many years and coached many different age groups. As her children got older, she began substitute teaching at Bethany and other Synod schools in the area. Although coaching is very much teaching, she is glad that the Lord has led her back to the classroom.
Erika is excited to have her own classroom and feels blessed to have been chosen to teach God's word to the school children.
Jessica is married to Jason, and they have two dogs named Ruby and Ziva. Both Jason and Jessica are involved with the Hustisford Fire/EMS. She loves to sing, hunt, trap shoot, travel, spend time at their Lake Cottage, play volleyball, and drive her ‘73 Mustang.
She got her teaching degree at UW-Oshkosh and her Synod Certification from Martin Luther College. She has been teaching at Bethany since 2008 and really enjoys her time with the students, acting as a positive Christian role model for them. You may see her singing in the Bethany adult choir or directing one of the children's songs in church.
Darlene is married to Tim and has three children: Faith (21), Mary (19), and Adam (16). She is a member at St. Matthew’s Lutheran School in Iron Ridge. She is retired from John Deere, where she worked for 24 years as an engineer. After retiring, she obtained her substitute teaching license.
She has been a substitute teacher for the past two years, covering all age groups from 3K through 8th grade. The main two schools she has subbed at are St. Matthew’s Lutheran in Iron Ridge and Bethany. She subbed in the 3K-4K room last May for a month while Mrs. Jensen was on maternity leave.
Darlene and her family enjoy racing, being outdoors, campfires, and just sitting around talking. All three of their children have raced go-karts, and two of them have now moved on to racing Legend Cars at Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday nights.
She is truly excited to be at Bethany as the preschool teacher and feels truly blessed with this opportunity to teach the children.
Mrs. Amy Kaiser is the preschool teaching assistant as well as the study hall supervisor. Amy is married to Paul Sr. and has 4 kids, 3 of whom attend school at Bethany. Amy utilizes her creativity by helping the church Sunday School with the preschool craft. One of Amy's hobbies is doing puzzles.
Mrs. Jenalee Janesz is the K-1 teaching assistant. Jena is married to Adam and is a mom to Stella, who is a kindergartener at Bethany. Jena also serves on the school Pep Committee and helps with the church's annual Advent by Candlelight.
Katie and her husband, Andy, have been members of Bethany for 15 years. Their children are Aiden, a sophomore at Luther Prep, and Liam, a fifth grader at Bethany.
Katie loves working in her flower garden and planting new flowers. She loves seeing all the beautiful colors God created. She enjoys making crafts and painting, antique shopping, reading, cooking, and baking. She has been busy this last year making a lot of cakes for her family and friends. She enjoys family time and taking care of her nephew, Owen, during the week.
She is excited to be the school lunch lady this year and is blessed with the opportunity to cook and feed the children at Bethany.
Rachel is married to Mike, Bethany's school principal. They have two sons, Jason and Jonah. They love going on family adventures together with their dog Kasey. They have fun participating in and watching various sports, as well as enjoying nature by hiking and biking together. Rachel loves a good Bible Study and digging into the Word with others. Leaning on God’s word has been extremely impactful for her.
A good DIY home project and thrifting are a couple of her personal hobbies. She enjoys working with youth through coaching cheer squads and volunteering with various groups at school and church. She is currently taking classes at MLC under the Staff Ministry Program.
It makes her day to be able to support the body of Christ, and she is blessed to work with the wonderful people at Bethany Lutheran. To GOD be the glory! (Philippians 2:9-11)
Debbie and her husband, Brian, live outside Hustisford and are proud parents of two BLS graduates, Joshua and Nathan. A lifelong member of Bethany and a KML graduate, Debbie retired in 2022 after a 30-year career at LKQ-Smart Parts, and earned her short-term substitute teaching license that same year.
Active in her faith community, she serves as President of Bethany’s Ladies Aid, holds leadership roles with the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS), and enjoys sharing her professional experience at Bethany. In her free time, Debbie loves reading, trying new recipes, and connecting with school families. One of her favorite verses is Proverbs 19:21: "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails."
